Early in my career, I was profoundly impacted by the families with whom I worked and their resilience in the face of overwhelming pain and stress. One or more of the kids in these families were at risk of out-of-home placement due to neglect or abuse. I derived a deep satisfaction from the fact that after 18 months, 95% of those families were still together. To this day, I continue to help people connect or reconnect with their resilience and heal through to wholeness.
In addition to working with “traditional” families, I also work with families who have different configurations.
My struggle to recover from several car accidents gave me profound insight into the challenges of healing mind and body. I spent years in this healing process and have learned much about healing from trauma. Brainspotting is a non-verbal technique for treating trauma, PTSD, and other issues that keep you stuck. If what you have been doing isn’t working, Brainspotting can help you break through the barriers that are preventing you from having the life and relationships you desire. Brainspotting works by accessing the locations deep in your brain where trauma is stored.
